General Information

Prior to the inspection, make a list of all questions and concerns.

A trained inspector can discover defects that an untrained eye just can't see.

Should the buyer be present?

Absolutely.
The professional will not only inform the purchaser of defects of the home, but he will explain maintenance techniques as well as point out the positive attributes of the home.

What is ASHI?

ASHI is the American Society of Home Inspectors. It is the oldest established organization for the home inspection industry.

ASHI has established the STANDARDS OF PRACTICE and CODE OF ETHICS, which other national organizations and states (that require Licensing), have adopted (in full or partial) these standards of practice and code of ethics.

ASHI members are required to obtain 20 hours of continuing education credits every year - unlike some of the other organizations.
